la Mae Nichols, 80 of Wellington, died Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the Mercy New Life Center in Lorain. She was born on July 17, 1935 in Utica PA to the late Charles and Hazel (nee Rogers) Cutchall. Ila grew up in PA and graduated from Cochranton High School in 1954. She later moved to Ohio and the Wellington area. For 30 years Ila worked at Forest City Technologies and retired in 1998. She was a member of the Wellington Eagles. Ila was talented at crocheting and she enjoyed fishing but her real joy was in babysitting her grandchildren. Survivors include her loving husband of nearly 62 years, Richard; children Richard Nichols Jr., of Wellington, Dale (Jewel) Nichols of Brighton, Linda (Delmer) Birchfield, of Wellington, Jeffrey Nichols, of Brighton, and Todd (Melinda) Nichols, of Franklin PA; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild; siblings Merle Mullins of Bradley Town PA, Lela Shadle of Hannahville PA, Lavina Walker of Grove City PA, and Twila Troupe of Sugar Creek PA. Ila was preceded in death by her siblings Vida and Cassius. A memorial service celebrating Ila's life will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2016 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the LaGrange Church of God, 502 N. Center St, LaGrange, 44050, Rev. Danny Wright officiating.
