Imogene Faith Stafirski age 96, of Wellington passed away peacefully Thursday March 14th at Keystone Pointe in Lagrange Ohio. Imogene was born, April 24th 1927 in Johnstown, PA, daughter of the late, Harry M. & Emma (Stout) Kornprobst. She graduated from Johnstown High school in Pennsylvania. Imogene and her husband Joe moved to Wellington in 1968.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was married to her husband Joe for 59 years. Imogene enjoyed collecting tooth pick holders that her friends and family brought her back from their travels. She always said she wanted to live to be 100. She enjoyed playing bingo, and crocheting, Her house was always the gathering place for Sunday family dinners. She was member of the Eleanor Roosevelt Democratic Women's Club. She attended the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Wellington.
Imogene is survived by three daughters Bambi Stafirski, Cindy (Mitch) Broome and Heidi (Dennis) Charlton all of Summerville, SC. 8 grand children and 9 great grand children. Imogene was preceded in death by her husband Joseph and son Joseph Jr as well as 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
Friends and family will be received on Sunday, March 17, 2024 from 2-5 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main Street, Wellington, where services will be held on Monday beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington.
