Irene Clemons, 92, of Willard, went home to be with the Lord and her husband on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at the Willows of Willard. She was born October 20, 1924 in Kentucky, daughter of the late Reb and Elsie (nee Risner) Green. She had lived in the Greenwich and Willard areas for many years. Irene had been a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and raising chickens. She is survived by her children, Bill (Edy) Clemons of Florida, Phillip (Libby) Clemons of Willard, Paul (Cathy) Clemons of Willard, Ish (Marilyn) Clemons of North Fairfield, Timothy (Carol) Clemons of Willard, Marsha (Larry) Predieri of Willard, Sherry (Scott) Wilson of Willard and Tina Snyder of Willard; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; her sisters, Mazella Risner and Lucille Penley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Clemons; her son, Larry Clemons; 3 grandsons, Luke Clemons, Zach Inmon and Troy Predieri and several brothers and sisters. A special Thank you to Stein Hospice, The Willows of Willard and Doctor Chris Brown and staff. The family will greet friends on Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main Street in Greenwich where a service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 25th with Rev. Gary Adkins officiating. Burial will follow at the North Fairfield Cemetery.
