Isabell J. Smith, age 89, of Greenwich, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2013 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk. She was born on March 28, 1924, in Greenwich Township, daughter of the late Frank and Frances (Carver) Kramb. Isabell grew up in Greenwich and attended Greenwich High School. She had lived in Norwalk for many years before returning to Greenwich in 2012. She had worked at Kent Sporting Goods in New London for several years and as a barmaid for many years until her retirement. She loved to bowl, fish, was an avid sports fan, especially baseball, wrestling, football and basketball. Isabell enjoyed going to dances at LeMar Lake Park in Norwalk. Isabell is survived by her children, Carol Beasore of Greenwich, Jim (Becky) Smith of Greenwich, Cindy Fishbaugh of Phoenix, Arizona, Robert (Linda) Smith of Mansfield and Claudia Jo (Clyde) Honeycutt of North Fairfield; 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren; her siblings, Charlotte Jackson of New London and Grace Howard of Ashland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Todd Smith, her brother, Gerald Kramb and her son in law, Tom Beasore. Isabell's family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m on Monday, December 9, 2013 at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main Street, Greenwich where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday with Pastor Bob Hudberg officiating.
