Jack Wayne Patterson

March 8, 1951 – January 25, 2022

Jack Wayne Patterson, 70, of Norwalk, OH, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, January 25, 2022, at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky.

Jack was born on March 8, 1951, in Oberlin, OH to the late Eliza (Stoll) and Herman Patterson, where he was raised as one of eleven children.

Jack graduated from Norwalk High School in 1969 and married his high school sweetheart, Susanne Weitzel, on September 9, 1970. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy and was stationed in Hawaii for 3 years. Jack was a dedicated machinist at Invacare for numerous years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, woodworking, shooting pool, driving around the Norwalk Reservoir and watching various wildlife.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Susanne Patterson; 2 sons, Tim Patterson of Norwalk and Scott Patterson of California; 2 grandchildren, Sydnee and Kierstin and 2 great-grandchildren, Tristan and Grant.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at 11 am at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk, OH 44857.
