Jacklyn Kay Barnes

Jacklyn Kay Barnes, 38, of Wellington, died Monday, June 8, 2026, at home. Born on January 24, 1988, in Lima, she was the daughter of Shannan (nee McVicker) Starr and Dale Starr. Jacklyn grew up in Greenville, briefly living in Texas, and was a 2007 graduate of Greenville High School.

A lover of the outdoors, Jacklyn enjoyed spending time in nature, camping with her family and sitting in a kayak on a peaceful lake or river. She was also very creative and liked crafting and creating things, or getting lost in a sticker book or coloring book. Most of all, Jacklyn cherished each and every moment spent with her family.

Jacklyn is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, Jeremy; children, Jasmine Barnes, Jaylyn Barnes, and Jasper Barnes; her parents, Dale and Deanna Starr and Shannan and Anthony Colasanti; sisters, Jennifer (Andrew) Briggs, and Jessica (Daniel) Draper; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard Starr and Herbert and Nancy McVicker.
