Jacqueline H. (Palmer) Burton, 87, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 16, 2025, at her home. She was born on June 29, 1937, in Bellevue, Ohio, to the late Ludwig and Esther (Mentz) Palmer.
Jacqueline was a homemaker who had worked for Bell Dairy, the Bargain Center, and Cooks. She was also a librarian at St. Paul's, baby sat at home, and most recently was a crossing guard Pleasant Elementary. An avid reader with a sharp memory, Jackie had a wonderful sense of humor. She was quite active when she was younger, especially with bowling and softball.
She is survived by her children, David (Vicki) Burton, Barbara Burton, and John Burton; grandchildren, Mary (Josh) Alleman, Abigail (Josh) Hamilton, Benjamin Burton, and Ashley Burr; great grandchildren, Kagney, Silas, Landon, Troy, Payton, Blakely, and Sawyer; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Burton; sisters, Rita Ann Palmer, Mildred Goodsite, and Catherine Goodsite; brother, Raymond Palmer; and infant child, Mary Katherine Burton.
A visitation for Jackie will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. (noon). A funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. (noon) with Fr. Valerian Larawa conducting services. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
