James Alan Barkacs

July 2, 1982 – December 14, 2021

James Alan Barkacs, 39, of New London, passed away early Tuesday morning, December 14, 2021 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.

James was born on July 2, 1982 in Oberlin, OH to David and Laura (Cuson) Barkacs.

James attended Oberlin High School and worked at RR Donnelley as a Bindery Operator. James was a great cook and enjoyed feeding people. He was an avid music fan and especially enjoyed listening to Pink Floyd and playing his guitar. One of his greatest joys was playing video games, especially with his family.

James is survived by his loving wife, Megan (Glenn) Barkacs, whom he married on July 30, 2005; children, Josh "Sis" (Erin Readinger) Barkacs and Kyle Barkacs, both of New London; mother, Laura Barkacs of Medina and brothers, Jason Cuson of Greenwich and Jeremy Cuson of West Salem.

James was preceded in death by his father, David Barkacs.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London, OH 44851.
