James H. Brown Sr., 80, of New London, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at UH Elyria Hospital in Elyria, Ohio. Born on July 20, 1941 in Berea, he was the son of the late Jesse (nee Miller) and Henry Brown. James graduated from North Ridgeville High School and lived in Elyria before moving to the New London area in 1993.

James retired from Alltell Phone Company and was a member of the NRA, Ducks Unlimited, and Trappers Association. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising hunting dogs and restoring vintage tractors.

Left to treasure his memory is his loving wife, Nancy (nee Redman) Brown; children, James Brown Jr., Debra (John) Seeley, Dean (Laurie) Brown, David (Kim) Brown, Alan (Sue) Lane and Aleen Lane; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Jane Dreger.
