James G. Claypool, 81, of Wellington, died on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Mercy Regional Medical Center. On September 26, 1934, James was born in West Virginia to the late Troy and Rachel Rosa Anna (nee Dever) Claypool. James spent his youth in WV before moving to Painesville. He spent the last 30 years in Lorain County. James worked at Butcher Machine Company. He was a hard worker and mostly kept to himself. He loved gardening, enjoyed life and was always in a good mood. James is survived by many nieces and nephews, including Doreen and Harlan Rathwell. He was preceded in death by 9 siblings. A private service will be held at a later date.
