James M. Damron, 72, of New London, passed away surrounded by family after a lengthy illness at The Laurels of New London on Sunday, November 17, 2013. He was born on May 30, 1941, in Floyd County, Kentucky and lived most of his life in New London. He was a longtime employee of London Tile. James enjoyed fishing, hunting and dancing. James is survived by his father, John Damron; siblings, William Damron of Yuma, AZ, Glenn (Sandy) Damron of Clarksfield, Sue Fannin of New London, Betty (Mike) Kroumholtz of Greenwich, Kathy (Charles) Harvey of New London, Virginia (Harold) Case of New London and Vanie Burkett of New London and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna and mother, Vannie. The family will greet friends from 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2013 until the noon service at Eastman Funeral Home, New London with Rev. Ricky Branham officiating. Burial will follow in Fitchville Cemetery.
