James R. Greer, age 69, of Willard, died Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Triumph Hospital of Mansfield after a short illness. He was born April 27, 1940 in Elyria to the late Raymond and Bonnie Greer. James was a life long resident of the Willard area. He graduated from Willard High School in 1958. James was a mail carrier in Willard for 27 years. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Freda; children, Thomas (Jan) Cole of Radcliff, KY, Kendra (Chris) Elminger of Willard, Burl (Deborah) Cole of Spring Valley, IL, and Karen (Tad) Fox of Twinsburg; 12 grandchildren; sister, Nancy (Errol) King of Willard and 3 nephews. James was preceded in death by his children, Kathy Greer and Luke Cole. Friends may call from 3-6 pm. on Sunday, October 4 at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main St, Greenwich where a funeral service will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Dave Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in Edwards Grove Cemetery.
