James Henry Harmon, Sr., 85, of Wellington and formerly of North Ridgeville, died Sunday, February 1, 2015 at the Elms. Born on July 12, 1929 in Lorain and raised in Lorain, James attended Clearview High School. He resided in North Ridgeville more than 50 years. He enjoyed watching sports and was an avid reader. James worked at the Ridge Tool Company for over 30 years, retiring in 1991.
He is survived by his daughter, Debra James, of Elyria; sons, James H. Harmon, Jr. and wife, Maryann, of Rivesville, West Virginia and Charles W. Harmon and wife, Jennifer, of Wellington; 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandsons; and his sister, Doris Delestathis, of Lorain. Jim was preceded in death by his 2nd wife, Brenda (nee Brundage), in 1988; a brother, Jack Harmon; sister, Shirley Cramer and his parents, Charles H. Harmon and Bernice (nee Bohn) Traxler.
