James "Jim" Harold Daniel, 81, of Norwalk, Ohio and Chandler, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 3, 2021. He was born on June 26, 1940 in Beckley, West Virginia to the late Mary (Christian) and James O. Daniel.

From 1958 until 1962, Jim served in the United States Navy. He worked for Sheller Globe for 32 years until his retirement. Jim was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, had been a member of the former St. Sebastian Catholic Church, and was a life member of the Norwalk American Legion Post #41. He enjoyed model trains and country music. He loved traveling with Rachel and their friends Jim and Sharon Jerome. Jim loved having family outings and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Rachel Hedrick Daniel, of Chandler, Arizona; children, Susan (David) Homan, of Willard, Ohio, Dennis (Shelly) Daniel, of Willard, Ohio, Laura (Mark) Butler, Sandusky, Ohio; step-sons, Dustin (Jen) Hedrick, of Queen Creek, Arizona, and Drew Hedrick, of Tempe, Arizona; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; siblings, Brenda (Donald) Hawks, of Beckley, West Virginia, Tom Daniel, of Bluefield, West Virginia, and Steve (Dena) Daniel, of Chillicothe, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Rose Gates Daniel; son, Robert A. Daniel; and brother, Roger Daniel.

His family will hold a memorial mass on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 1322 Settlement Road, Norwalk, Ohio 44857 with burial at St. Sebastian Catholic Cemetery.
