James Irving Mitchell, 64, of Wellington, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2020 at his residence. Born on July 27, 1956 in Oberlin, he was the son of the late Alice Marjory (nee Hallowell) and Oswald Irving Mitchell. He was a Black River High School graduate. James lived in the Spencer and Wellington area most of his life.

James was employed at Whirlaway as a machine operator. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and shooting his guns.

Left to treasure his memory are his children, Shane Michael Langford of Wellington, James Joseph Mitchell (Jennifer) of Doylestown, Paul Edward Mitchell of Elyria and Michella Jo Mitchell of Michigan; grandchildren, Jessica Lynn Hughes, Michael and Christopher Mitchell; siblings, Mike Mitchell (Diana), Linda Mitchell, Patricia Smith (Robert) and Paul Mitchell.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, September 4, 2020 from 10-12 at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main Street, Wellington, where service will be held at 12 pm.
