Obituary

James C. Pace, 81, of Greenwich, Ohio, died on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Fisher Titus Medical Center.  He was born on March 23, 1939 in Harlan County, KY.  He was the son of Mossie (Barnes) and Leonard Pace.

Jim was a 1957 graduate of Evarts High School and served in the US Army from 1958 to 1960 with a tank squadron in Germany.  He married Phyllis Craft on February 10, 1961 and they lived in Ludlow, KY, until moving to Greenwich, Ohio in 1967.  He worked for Akron Standard Mold.  Jim later worked for Milan Steel where he retired in 2001.  He loved his grandchildren and their sports.  They were the apple of his eye.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis (Craft) Pace; son, James (Ronda) Pace; daughters, Lisa (Jim) Snyder and Bobbie (Bill) Mortimer; grandchildren, Ardana and Abigail Pace, Wyatt, Kellie, Stephanie, Garett Snyder and Leah Mortimer; sister, Betty Cornelius.  James was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister and 5 brothers.

Graveside service will be held at Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Military Honors.  Please observe all social distancing guidelines and guests are asked to wear a mask.  Eastman Funeral Home, Greenwich assisted the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be shared at www.eastmanfuneralhome.com.
