Dr. James B. Sauers, age 78, of Greenwich, died Wednesday, April 15, 2009 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born November 14, 1930 in Willard, Ohio, son of the late Dr. Charles Sauers and Margaret S. Sauers Dellinger. Dr. Sauers was a graduate of the Greenwich High School. He was a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University and received his Doctorate of Medicine from The Ohio State University. He was an allergist in Sandusky and Cleveland. Jim had served in the U.S. Army for 2 years in the mid-1950's. Jim and his sister, Dr. Adelaide Sauers donated their farm to the Ashland County Park District in 2004. He was a member of the Greenwich Rotary Club. He is survived by his sister, Dr. Adelaide Sauers of Greenwich. There will be no services. Memorials if desired may be given to the Milan Historical Museum, Inc., 10 North Edison Dr., Milan, Ohio 44846 or to the Greenwich Rotary Club, P.O. Box 36, Greenwich, Ohio 44837. Eastman Funeral Home, Greenwich were in charge of arrangements.
