James Sugaski, 83, of Wellington, formerly of South Amherst passed away on July 14, 2017 at home in the company of his family. He was born May 13, 1934 to the late Frank and Stella (nee Smith) Sugaski. James attended school in Wellington, (class of 1952) and served in the US Navy from 1952-1955 on minesweeper ships. He is survived by his wife Cynthia (nee Studebaker); sons, Eric (Jackie) Sugaski of Sanford, FL, Brian (Judy) Sugaski of Lake Wales, FL; grandchildren, Andrea Pelham of Lake Wales, FL, Corbin, Collin and Catlyn Sugaski all of Sanford, FL, Tori and Teye Johnson of Huron,OH, and Ian Simonowich of Amherst, OH; great grandchild James Pelham and brother, Richard Sugaski of Wellington. James was preceded in death by his wife Betty Sugaski (nee Smith); daughters, Julie Simonovich and Kayleen Sugaski; grandson, Shane Sugaski and sister Delores Busser. Jim had his own wheel alignment shop in Lorain for many years. He later retired from the BF Goodrich Chemical plant in Avon Lake. James was a member of St Patrick Catholic Church in Wellington, Wellington VFW 6941, the Big Bucks Hunting Club and the All American Indian Motorcycle Club. He loved to restore and ride antique Indian bikes. James and his son Brian had toured 5 countries and also Costa Rica on their motorcycles. Jim spent many years riding motorcycles, ATV's and dirt bikes with his friends. To honor him, bike owners are encouraged to bring their motorcycles to the visitation and funeral. The visitation will be held on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 4 pm - 7 pm at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main Street, Wellington where a funeral service will be held on Saturday beginning at 10 am with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
