James E. Wallace, age 57, of Norwalk, died Friday, April 20, 2012 at the Cleveland Clinic after a lengthy illness. He was born March 1, 1955 in New London, son of the late Thomas and Mabel (Lockwood) Wallace. James had lived most of his life in New London and the past 8 years in Norwalk. He was a 1974 graduate of New London High School. He had worked at Terra International (now Sunrise) where he retired in 1997 do to a disability. James loved fishing with his grandchildren and children, Ohio State football and basketball, playing bingo and playing cards.
He is survived by his fiance, Elissa Biller of Norwalk; children, Candice Allison, Ricky (Crystal) Wallace, DawniLynn (Mark) Poe all of Norwalk, Matthew Wallace of New London, Heather (Charles) Smith of Sandusky; 15 grandchildren, 2 great granddaughters; his siblings, Nancy Wallace of New London, Geraldine (Wayne) Knisely of Sandusky. Preceded in death by his brother, Michael Wallace.
Friends may call from 2 ' 4 p.m. and 6 ' 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London where funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday with Pastor Georgette Gaston officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Street Cemetery, New London.
