James Arthur Yenni, 89, of Nova, Ohio passed away peacefully on March 12, 2018. The loving husband of June Eloise; father of Robin (Jankowski), Ed, Jim, and Greg Yenni; brother of the (the late) Charles, Robert, (the late) Richard, (the late) George, (the late) Ralph, and sister (the late) Mary Louise. James has five granddaughters, two grandsons, and five great grandchildren. James was born in Dover, Ohio and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. After returning from the war, he resumed his work as a brakeman on the B&O Railroad where he once heroically rescued a baby and its mother who were involved in a train car accident. James retired from CSX Railroad in 1990 where he lived on his farm and enjoyed caring for the land and spending time with his family. Friends will be received Thursday at Eastman Funeral Home, New London, OH from 10:00 am - 11:00 am followed by a short service and luncheon. Interment will be private at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Samaritan Homecare, 1025 Center Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
