Jane Elizabeth Shelton, 77, of Wellington, died Saturday, August 17, 2024. Born on August 21, 1946 in Gassaway, WV, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Mary (nee Dobbins) Frame. Jane moved at a young age to Ohio, growing up just outside of Elyria. She was a 1964 graduate of Elyria High School. Jane later attended Lorain Community College to earn her Associates degree. Later in life she moved to Wellington.

Jane began working for Lorain Products and retired in 1997. She was an auxiliary member of the VFW, the American Legion, and the Eagles. Jane was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed antiquing, trips to casinos and a good glass of wine. In retirement Jane traveled in her RV from coast to coast, but always made it back to host family gatherings, especially for Christmas. Jane showed strength in life, being a two time cancer survivor, and a constant support for her family, especially for her grandson Colton in his horse shows.

Left to treasure her memory are her sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff Shelton and Catherine Puster-Shelton, of Polk, and Jason Shelton and Ann Kilcoyne-Shelton, of North Olmsted; grandson Colton Shelton; her companion of over 40 years, Richard Haag; and sister, Laura Janderski. Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Shelton in 1982, and her brother Larry Frame.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, August 21, from 4-6 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main St, Wellington, where services will be held on Thursday, beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
