Jane E. McDonald, 75, passed peacefully from this life to the next on November 15, 2024, at her home. She was born on June 9, 1949, in Norwalk, Ohio, to the late Carl and Marjorie (Comer) Sweet and was a 1967 Norwalk High School graduate.
Jane loved spending time with her family, traveling, playing cards, attending musicals and plays and concerts, time at the lake house, vacationing with family and friends, sending cards to loved ones, and dining out regularly with family and friends.
She was a member of the Norwalk First Presbyterian Church, and the Norwalk Eagles Club 711. Jane had worked for Norweco Inc., Moto-Electric Inc., and Norwalk City Schools.
Jane is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Dennis McDonald; daughter, Lindsey (Mark) Silverwood; granddaughter, Norah; and brothers, Dale and David (Rita) Sweet.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister in-law, Diana Sweet.
Friends and family are invited to her visitation on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St. Norwalk, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held the following day, Thursday, November 21, 2024, at the Norwalk First Presbyterian Church, 21 Firelands Blvd., Norwalk, beginning at 11 a.m. with Pastor James Hodsden conducting services.
