Janet D. Bursley

Janet D. (Koehn) Bursley, age 70, of Norwalk, passed away unexpectedly on April 6, 2026. She was born on December 31, 1955, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Jack H. Koehn and Jane F. (Womeldorf) Koehn.

At the age of nine, the family moved to Norwalk, Ohio. Janet attended Norwalk High School, then raised her three children, Devon A. (Bursley) Henry, Adam D. Bursley, and Jeremy C. Koehn. She then worked at The Press Box and Bluto’s in Norwalk for several years as a cook. She also worked at Gaymont Nursing Home in Norwalk and Continuing Healthcare in Milan for many years.

Janet had a big heart and a great sense of humor with an infectious laugh. She loved her three children and grandchildren very much, and she was extremely proud of all of them. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with the elderly.

Janet is survived by her three children; son-in-law, Darren Henry; granddaughter, Ava Henry; grandson, Zandyn Dupont; sister-in-law, Lorna (Bartow) Koehn; and several siblings and in-laws, Marilyn (Koehn) Horner, Jacquelin (Dan) Smith, Charles (Nita) Koehn, John (Anne) Koehn, Robert Koehn, Steve (Stephanie) Koehn, Elizabeth (Koehn) Smith; and many nieces and nephews.

Janet was proceeded in death by her parents; grandson, Keegan Martin; brother, David Koehn; and brother-in-law, David Horner.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
