Janet L. Morehouse, 83, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at her home.  She was born on January 6, 1940, in Wakeman, Ohio, to the late Frank and Norma (Franklin) Butch.  She graduated from Norwalk High School in 1958.

Janet was a wonderful mother and grandmother.  She was social and enjoyed going out to eat with all of her lady friends.  Janet also loved the Cleveland Indians and was extremely proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She worked for many years as the secretary for the North Central Ohio Building and Construction Trades Council and was a member of the Norwalk Alliance Church.

She is survived by her son, Scot (Debbie) Morehouse; son in-law, Mike Grine; grandchildren, Taylor (Brian) Billings, Jordan (Korey) Howe, Drake Grine and Courtney Grine; great grandchildren, Hugo, Penelope, and Seamus Billings; sister, Sharon (Tom) Austin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and several cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ronald Morehouse in 2020, daughter, Becky Grine, and sister, Vonnie Bowers.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, from 10 a.m. until the time of the noon service.  Pastor Doug Lang will officiate the service.  Burial will take place in Meadowgreen Cemetery, on Bogart Rd. in Huron.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the donor's favorite charity.  Online expressions of sympathy may be made by visiting: www.walkereastmanheydingerfh.com
