Janet A. Gullett, 78, of Wellington, died Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at home surrounded by her family. Born on July 23, 1940 in Lodi, she was the daughter of the late William and Helen (nee Gott) Sipes. Janet was a lifelong resident of the Wellington area and a 1958 graduate of Wellington High School. Janet, also known as GG by her grandkids, took great pride in being the head cook at Wellington Westwood Elementary School for 25 years, before retiring in 1999. She enjoyed spending time working in her yard, riding her golf cart, helping the neighbors, and in her earlier years, golfing and bowling. She found great enjoyment in following her grandchildren's school and sporting events when they were younger, and as they grew, she continued to take pleasure in their growing families. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Larry, her children Connie (Robert) Brasee, of Wellington, and Michael (Deanna) Gullett, of LaGrange; grandchildren Monica (Jake) Willbond, Morgan (Nick) Foor, Hailee (Carl) Walter, and Tyler Gullett; great grandchildren Elliot, Easton, Ava, and Clayton, and she was anticipating the birth of Brynlee in the coming weeks. Janet is also survived by her best friend since childhood, Joyce Enderby. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Helen Sipes, brothers Donny and Bill Sipes, sister June Scott, and niece Terry Riddle. Friends and family will be received on Saturday, February 23, from 1 p.m. until the time of services beginning at 4 p.m. at the Wellington First United Methodist Church, 127 Park Place, Wellington, 44090.
