Janice Lou Clingan, 73, of Ruggles, died early Saturday morning, December 22, 2012 at home. She was born July 14, 1939 in Logan, West Virginia, daughter of the late Asburn and Molly (Farley) Hensley. Janice has had many endeavors and touched many throughout her life. She moved to Ruggles in 1991. She was a graduate of Logan High School and worked at the Ashland Inn & Suites for several years. Janice was a member of the Ruggles Church and the Mudfork Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her loving children and step children, James W. (Kristina) Clingan of Ruggles, OH, Louie (Teresa) Hensley of Verdunville, WV, Cheryl (Dave) Tidwell of Jackson Co., OH, Ted (Linda) Clingan of Medina, OH and Tina Hicks of North Olmstead, OH; siblings, Ray (Rebecca) Hensley, Thomas (Naomi) Hensley, Dorothy (Elbert Jr.) Collins, Jean (Chuck) Irwin; grandchildren, Colby, Amber, Nickolas, Chris, Aaron, Rocksanne, Jeff, Michael, David, Darryl, Brandy and Tina and many great grandchildren.
Janice was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Clingan; son, Carl Clingan; brother, Claude Hensley; sister, Minnie Mae Collins and siblings.
Friends may call beginning at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at the Mudfork Freewill Baptist Church, Verdunville, WV where a service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 27th with Pastor David McCloud officiating. Burial will follow at the Hensley Family Cemetery in Buckfork, WV. Memorials may be given to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1050 Dauch Drive, Ashland, OH 44805.
