Janice E. Focht-Wicks, 54, of Elyria, Ohio, passed away on April 28, 2025, at her home.  She was born on December 5. 1970, in Norwalk, Ohio, to the late Virginia (Wolcott) and William Focht.  She graduated from New London High School in 1989.

Janice was known for her boisterous laugh, giving nature, and love of her family.  She enjoyed crafts and watching and re-watching Harry Potter movies.  She was part of the Hookers crochet club, and Wakeman Eagles.

Janice is survived by her husband, Brian Wicks; children, Brian Wicks II, Ariana Wicks, and Maija Wicks; sister, Julie (Bob) Weaver, and multiple nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Virginia and William Focht she was preceded in death by her mother in-law, Georgia Weatherford, and sister in-law, Marchelle Freeman.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Clarksfield Methodist Cemetery, beginning at 1 p.m.  Any contributions may be made directly to Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W.
