Janice Eileen Gannett, 88, of Fitchville, passed away peacefully at home on June 3, 2018. She was born on March 22, 1930 to the late Marion Burton and Bertie Lucille (nee Brainard) Coy. Janice loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and she enjoyed gardening, flowers, birds, and cherished her dogs. She had worked for Kent Sporting Goods, Fannie Farmer, and Invacare in Lodi. Janice is survived by her children, Ray (Marj) Gannett of Waterford, Ohio and Sue Wiesen of Fitchville; grandchildren, Amy, Paul, Jerry, Tiffany, Laurie, Jason, Joe, Jamie and Becky; several great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George in 2005, daughter, Sheila and brother Burton. Janice's family will greet friends from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London where a service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday with burial to follow in Fitchville Cemetery.
