Janice O. Jenkins, 86, of Wellington, died Friday, September 29, 2017, surrounded by her family. Born on August 23, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Yvonne (nee faze) Jenkins. Janice had been a resident of Wellington for the past 24 years and prior to that had lived in Grafton and Canton.
Janice worked at several jobs in her life, including secretary to the mayor of North Ridgeville, a police dispatcher with Grafton Police Dept, and owning and operating her own childcare service. She was an active member of the Wellington First United Methodist Church. Janice also enjoyed crafts including sewing and ceramics.
Survivors include her daughters Tedi (Curt) Ewing, of Homeworth, Kim Forkapa, of Cleveland, and Jan (Tim) Marks, of Wellington; grandchildren Marcy, Jimmy, Danielle, Kerstin, Tommy, Draya, Josh, and Julia; great-grandchildren Taylor, Hannah, Blake, Max, Sadie, Ryan, Camden, Serenity, and Sage; brothers Ted and Jack Jenkins. Janice was preceded in death by her husband Norm Koenig, son-in-law Thomas Forkapa, and brothers Ben and Don Jenkins.
Friends and family will gather on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 2:30 at the Wellington First United Methodist Church, 127 Park Place, Wellington, 44090. Pastor Paul Wilson will officiate.
