Jay M. Lucal, 48, of Monroeville, Ohio, died on June 2, 2023, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born on December 11, 1974, in Norwalk, Ohio to Brenda (Jones) and Vaughn Lucal. Jay attended South Central High School.

He worked most recently pouring concrete, but was a mechanic for much of his life, and was considered a "jack of all trades". Jay enjoyed working on cars, Derbies, riding his motorcycle, playing pool, and spending time with his children and friends. He was a member of the Norwalk VFW Post # 2743, and Monroeville American Legion Post # 547.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children, Christopher Close, Dylan (Paige Stark) Lucal, Jessica (Tyler Giles) Lucal, Jayden Lucal, Weston Lucal, and Emery Lucal; siblings, Patrick Lucal, Samantha Lucal, Monica Davidson, and Misty Cherry; grandchildren, Marlei Lynn and Sara Lucal, and Carter and Octavia Giles.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Cherry and sister, Bobby Cherry.

A memorial gathering and celebration of Jay's life will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main St., Greenwich, OH 44837.
