Obituary

Jean Ann (Bores) Fisher, 78, of Norwalk, died Monday morning, February 17, 2025, surrounded by family at Gaymont Nursing Home.

A lifelong resident of Norwalk, she was born January 28, 1947, to Charlotte (Flood) and Norman Bores and graduated from Norwalk High School in 1965.  She was a tried-and-true St. Paul Flyer fan that never missed a football game or any event her grandchildren were a part of.  She took great pride in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren and was known to share all of her love for her grandbabies.

She is survived by her sons, John (Kristine) Livengood, Eric (Maria) Livengood, Ryan Eastman and stepsons Larry Fisher and Mark Fisher.  Her grandchildren were the delight of her life; they include Hannah (Jim) Lapinski, Christian Livengood, Olivia (Jon) Duck and Andrew Livengood.  Isaac (Katie) Livengood, Joe (Adrian) Livengood, Lars (Kayla) Livengood, Emma Livengood, and Xaviar Eastman.  Step-grandchildren, Annabelle Fisher, Aidan Fisher, Eli Fisher, and Isabelle Fisher.  Great grandchildren, Rose, Ava, Elsie and Noah Lapinski, Jackson and Briggs Duck, Levi and Jett Livengood and Grady Livengood.  Brothers, Robert (Ryllis) Bores and John Bores.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Fisher in 2019, daughter Tonya Livengood in 1978 and her parents Norman and Charlotte Bores.

The best memories of her grandchildren are growing up at their grandma and grandpa's house out in the country.  Riding four wheelers, playing in the dirt piles, swimming in the pond and a large yard to play football, kickball, and baseball or any game that they could think of and then afterwards, washing off with the "stinky" well water.  It was a child's dream with pedal tractors, swings in the backyard, a large wooden train to play on, rocks to paint, and a pool table.  They made cookies and cakes and fresh cut fresh cut French fries with grandma in the kitchen and then sat back and watched cowboys and Indians with grandpa.  They always had an endless supply of pop to drink with large collections of dolls, nutcrackers, rolling pins and pedal tractors.  When Christmas came around, their home was practically the North Pole.  Grandpa and Grandma's house was the best place to be.  She was the most generous to her loved ones, making sure everyone received an excessive amount of Christmas gifts.  She loved taking the grandchildren on birthday shopping trips, but above all of those material things, she showered everyone with love, and you truly couldn't ask for anything more.

Friends and family are invited to Jean's visitation on Sunday, February 23, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W.
