Jean I. Bridgeland, 83, of Spencer, died Thursday, May 14, 2009 at her home. Born in Cleveland on May 31, 1925 to Arthur and Pearl Marcell, Jean was a 1943 Lincoln High School graduate. Jean is survived by her 7 children, Patricia 'Bridget' (Walter) Anthony of Ravenna, James (Jeanette) Bridgeland of Hinckley, William (Robin) Bridgeland of Flagstaff, AZ, Debra (Michael) Krish of Spencer, Sharon (Gary) Brinkley of Haines City, FL, John Bridgeland of Las Vegas, NV and Carol Dotson of Crossville, TN; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Arthur Marcell of Phoenix, AZ and Raymond Marcell of Albuquerque, NM. Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, James T. Bridgeland and brothers, Thomas Marcell and Harry Crosier. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, May18 at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery, Cleveland.
