Jean Haynes, 84, of Wakeman, died Monday, January 2, 2023, at Promedica Toledo Hospital, Toledo.  She was born November 23, 1938, in Knox Co., KY to the late Donna (Fredrick) and Foster Matlock.  Mrs. Haynes was a care giver for Christie Lane in Norwalk and a member of the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church for over 40 years.  She enjoyed canning, cooking, fishing with her husband Jim, reading but cherished most spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Haynes is survived by her husband of 66 years, Jim Haynes; Children, James T. (Enola) Haynes and Mindy L. Wigsmoen of Wakeman; 7 grandchildren, James, Diana, Adam, Ashley, Randall, Michael and Oletha; 15 great grandchildren; siblings, Stan, Russ, Rob, Doyle Matlock and Joanne Bowling, along with several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Tracy R. Haynes; siblings, Alvin Matlock and Pauline Thayer.
