Jean D. Marschall Ruess, age 91, formerly of New London, died Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Heartland of Mentor Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 9, 1922 in Elyria, Ohio, daughter of the late Harold and Dorothy (Hill) Perry. Jean was a 1939 graduate of Wellington High School. After marrying, she lived in New London from 1948 to 2010 when she moved to Mentor. Jean worked as the secretary for Perry Chevrolet, Inc. in New London. She enjoyed playing Bingo, King's Corner, making cards and chocolate. She is survived by her children, Richard (Janet) Marschall of Jacksonville, Florida, Barbara (Al) Krejci of Mentor, Dale (DeeDee) Marschall of New London; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; her siblings, Elaine McGarry of Keller, Texas and James Perry of Ashland. She was preceded in death by her husbands, L.H. (Bill) Marschall in 1963 and Glenn Ruess in 2000, her brothers, Harold Perry, Jr. and Jack Perry. Friends may call from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Doug Lang officiating.
