Jean Rickel, 87, of Wellington, died Monday, August 6, 2012 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Jean was born in Brighton on October 20, 1924 to the late Harold G. and Minnie (nee Tuttle) Hardy. She worked as Secretary at the Sterling Foundry for 15 years. Jean also assisted her husband in managing their egg distribution business. She enjoyed gardening, decorating and cooking with tremendous talent in each area. Jean was a devoted and loving wife. Survivors include her husband, E. Aubrey Rickel, whom she married on May 9, 1946 and several nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her siblings, Dorothy Mantz, Joan Hawley, Charles, Ted, Walter, Alan, Robert, and Lawrence Hardy. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington.
