Jeanne Arnert Hickok, age 88, of Bellevue, died Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at The Bellevue Care Center. She was born in Fitchville on November 1, 1920 to the late Terry and Eunice (nee Francisco) Arnert. Jeanne lived in Fitchville until moving to Bellevue in 1996. She graduated with the New London High School class of 1938. Jeanne also graduated from the Oberlin School of Commerce. She worked as a bank teller for the National City Bank for 25 years. Jeanne was a member of the Fitchville United Methodist Church. Survivors include her loving daughter, Maryle (David) Greene of Bellevue; grandchildren, Carol Jeanne (Aaron) Kelly of Heath, Ohio and Janna Lee (Sean) McPike of Hampton, Virginia; one great grandchild, Gabriel Jack Kelly and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Hickok; two sisters, Grace Reid and Dora Bauer and two brothers, Frank Arnert and Carl M. Arnert. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 25 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London with Rev. Jeff Gindlesberger officiating. Burial will follow at the Fitchville Cemetery.
