Jeannette L. Walko, 78, of Wellington, died Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Keystone Point Nursing Home, LaGrange after a sudden illness. She was born on September 28, 1932, in Wellington, to the late Lawrence and Edna Jordan. Jeannette lived all of her life in the Wellington area. She graduated in 1950 from Wellington High School. Jeannette worked with her husband on the family farm. She was a 4-H advisor for many years and a member of the LaGrange Lions Club. Jeannette enjoyed quilting, canning and baking. Survivors include her husband, Andy; daughters, Andrea (Carl) Hammond of Elyria and Barbara Johnson of LaPorte; grandchildren, Rebecca Reaser, Terra Bichimer and Tonya Reed and great grandchildren, twins, Virginia and Gabriella Reaser, Alexa Bichimer and Richard Lee Andrew Reaser. She is also survived by a sister, Phyllis Styer and brothers, Howard Jordan of Huntington, Lawrence 'Butch' Jordan of Las Vegas and LeRoy 'Pete' Jordan of Wellington. Jeannette was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Settlemire and Wanda Walker and brothers, Jack and Robert Jordan. Visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington where a service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday with Pastor Tom Keller. Burial will follow at Penfield Cemetery.
