Jeffrey G. Frey

Jeffrey G. Frey, age 61, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away naturally and unexpectedly on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at his home in Norwalk. He was born on May 13, 1965, in Norwalk, to the late James H. and Arlene M. (Kluding) Frey. Jeffrey graduated from Norwalk St. Paul High School and EHOVE.

An avid outdoorsman, Jeff loved to fish, hunt, and shoot. He was a rule breaker at heart but more than anything he was most proud to be a grandpa to his grandchildren, teaching them invaluable lessons, and leaving a mark on their lives. Jeff had an amazing relationship with his siblings. The impact of the generational love shared with his parents highlighted the importance of family in his interactions with his children, siblings, and grandchildren. He was a friend to everyone, fortunate enough to meet him.

Jeff’s love of hunting led him to Montana where he was a hunting guide. He was a talented wood worker and carpenter, and while in Florida he started a business with his brother, “Frey’s Carpet Care” restoring floors to new. In later years he moved back to Ohio to be close to his family and be closer to his grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughters, Tiffany (David) Lamb, and Sarah (Zac) Knoll; grandchildren, Luisa, Ari Jean, Madelyn, Benaiah, Simona, Mylo, Forrest, Josephine, and Eliza; siblings, Denny (Dawn) Frey, Dave (Debbie) Frey, Connie (Dennis) McGovern, and Jim (Ruth) Frey; as well as many other close family members, and many, many good friends.

A celebration of Jeffrey’s life is planned for Sunday, September 27, 2026, at the Norwalk Eagles Club 711, 151 Cline St., Norwalk, from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. To honor his wishes, he is being cremated. Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, Norwalk, is honored to assist the family with Jeffrey’s care and arrangements.
