Jeffrey Stewart Johnston, age 62, of Nova, died Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at his home after a sudden illness. He was born April 13, 1949 in Lakewood, Ohio, son of the late Herbert J. Johnston, Sr. and Irene (Lawrence) Johnston. Jeff was a graduate of North Olmsted High School. He had lived in Nova for the past 16 years. He had worked for P.P.G. in Cleveland and at the Seibert Power Coatings in Cleveland where he retired in 2008. He loved drag racing and working on cars. He is survived by his children, Beth (Richard) Brister of Elyria, Lisa (Ken) Koney of Grafton, Lee (fianc' Kelly) Johnston of Willoughby; his fianc' , Karen Clark; his grandchildren, Dylan, Autumn and Matthew Brister, Jake Koney, Alayna Clark; his brothers, Herbert James Johnston, Jr. of Norwalk, Bob (Barb) Johnston of Lakewood. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2011 until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London with Dr. Arnold Fleagle, Reverend officiating. Burial will take place at a later time.
