Jerry J. Dwight, age 81, of North Fairfield, died on Monday, June 24, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born December 23, 1942, in Bellevue, he was a 1961 graduate of South-Central High School.

Jerry worked for Ford Motor Company in Sandusky and was an outdoorsman. A member of the NRA, he was also a competitive trap shooter and enjoyed traveling to competitions at all levels from local to national. He also enjoyed hunting.

Left to cherish his memory are Jerry's children, Pamala (Ashwin) Ranchod of North Fairfield, and Terry Dwight of Connecticut; grandchildren, Michael Shepherd, Miranda Shepherd, Dori Holmes, Brandon Dwight, and Drew Dwight; 6 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Barbara Shirey of Willard, and Nancy Jenkins of Bellevue.

Jerry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Charlotte (Schimpff); parents, Henry and Geraldine (Hartley) Dwight; and brother, Charles Dwight.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation on Friday, July 5th from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, OH 44857. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 4 p.m.
