Jerry Thomas Perkins, age 68, of New London, died Friday, January 16, 2009 at Briarfield of Milan. Jerry was born July 1, 1940 in Beaver Creek, Ky. He had resided in the New London area for over 50 years. Jerry had worked at the former Festival Homes of Greenwich and Roth Manufacturing of New London. He helped many people and was a friend to many. Survivors include his wife, Fanny (Owens) Perkins; 4 sons, Walt (Denise) Perkins of New London, Tom Perkins of Kentucky, Leon (Victoria) Perkins of New London and Ricky Jo Perkins of Geneva; 10 grandchildren; step mother, Edna Perkins; 4 half brothers, Terry Perkins, Steve Perkins, Carl Perkins, and John Perkins ; 3 half sisters, Ruth Perkins, Pat Sexton and Mary Poll. He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Perkins, his mother, Beatrice (Mullins) Case, his stepfather, Ransom Case, his daughter, Shirley Perkins, his grandchildren, Crystal and Andrew Perkins. Friends may call from 7- 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Larry Klaiber officiating. Burial will follow at Ashland County Memorial Park.
