Jerry D. Triplett, age 46, of New London, died Sunday, December 28, 2008 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center after a sudden illness.
Jerry was born March 4, 1962 in Lodi. He grew up and lived most of his life in the Olmsted Falls area, and lived in the New London area for the past 10 years. Jerry graduated from Olmsted Falls High School in 1980. He was an operator for West Paving in Berea, the former Osterland Construction in Cleveland and Kokosing Construction.
He was a member of the IUOE Local 18 . Jerry enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Claudia (Thompson) Triplett; mother, Loretta Robinson of Marblehead; sister, Vivian Gratz of Pennsylvania; brother, Wayne (Mary)Triplett of Spencer; mother-in-law and father-in-law Kareen (Sparr-Thompson) and Randall Bryan of Nova, brother-in-law, Kevin (Amy) Thompson of Anchorage Alaska; sister-in-law, Brenda (Thompson)Turk and John Janusas of Cullman, Alabama; 12 nieces and nephews, Sylvia and Michael Gratz, Rebecca and Cory Turk, Phoenix Janusas, JC Calhoun, Franklin, Jack and Jonathon Triplett, Steve, Matt and Chris Thompson; 2 great nephews, Lucas Triplett and Jamison Triplett; 1 great niece; Aubrey Triplett. Jerry is preceded in death by his father, Frank Triplett and step father, James Robinson.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, January 1st at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London and Friday, January 2nd from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Cathy Ake officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lodi.
