Jimmie Lee Winans, 81, of Norwalk, died on April 23, 2019 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center. He was born on March 12, 1938 in Dunmore, WV to the late Paul and Juanita (nee Grimes) Winans.

Jimmie was very involved in the Salvation Army, where he had served as a Soldier and Welcome Sargent for over 20 years. He and his loving wife, Betty (nee Franks) Winans, had attended church services and bible studies and had worked together serving in the soup kitchen and farmers market.

Jimmie enjoyed working outside, mowing, and drawing pictures.

In addition to his wife of nearly 24 years, Betty, Jimmie is survived by his sons, Jack, James and Steve Winans; sister, Brenda Ryman; brothers, Paul and Gaylan Winans and 5 grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday May 5, 2019 at 1:30 pm at the Salvation Army, 55 Whittlesey Ave, Norwalk, OH 44857. Memorial contributions if desired may be made to the family in care of Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home.
