Jimmy Dean "Pete" Peterson, 63, of Wellington, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016. Pete was born in Oklahoma City, OK on November 2, 1952 to James and Joy (nee Young) Peterson. After spending the early part of his life in Oklahoma, Pete later moved to Santa Barbara, CA until joining and proudly serving in the United States Marine Corps. He later spent time in Utah and Las Vegas before moving to Ohio in 2012. Pete worked as a firefighter in Big Bear CA and later worked for Mac Industry. A hardworking man, Pete enjoyed chopping wood, fishing, camping and going to flea markets. He is survived by his fiancée, Mary Bailey; children, James Peterson of MI, Dona (David) Mitchel of TX, Susan (Aaron) Steinhauser of Davison, MI and Kathryn Peterson of UT; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 30 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Christ Community Church, 212 West Herrick, Wellington, 44090.
