Obituary

JoAnn Earhart, age 78, of Greenwich, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at Mercy Hospital, Willard after a sudden illness. She was born July 18, 1929 in Enterprise, West Virginia, daughter of the late Homer Elias and Melissa Frances (Parsons) McIntire. She moved to the Mansfield area in the 1940's and has lived in the Greenwich area since 1963. JoAnn had worked at Tom's Restaurant in Mansfield where she met her husband. She and her husband owned and operated Wood & Needle Craft Store in Greenwich for several years. JoAnn loved flowers, her grandchildren, crafts, gardening, solitaire and family, Bible study, dancing, bowling, bingo and drinking coffee with her friends. She is survived by her daughter, Fran (Doug) Dittman of Greenwich; 2 sons, Jack (Sandy) Earhart of Greenwich and David (Sue) West of Mount Gilead, Ohio; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; her brother, Duane McIntire of Shinston, West Virginia; close friends, Sally & Jim Eagle & family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jackson 'Jack' Earhart in 1991, her sister, Katherine Crawford, her infant sister, Jean McIntire, her great grandson, Isaiah Earhart. Friends may call from 3 - 5 and 7 - 9 Saturday, October 13, 2007 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main St., Greenwich. Friends may also call from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Wesley Evangelical Church, 58 East Main St., Shiloh, Ohio with Pastor Troy Diersing officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery. Memorials if desired may be given to the family in care of the funeral home.
