Joanne Patricia Fowler, 93, of Vermilion, died Thursday, January 4, 2024 at home. Born on April 17, 1930 in Greenwich, she was the daughter of the late Cleo and Rozella (nee Robson) Plough. Joanne graduated from Greenwich High School and then attended beauty school in Akron. As an adult she moved to Vermilion and then to Nova before returning recently to Vermilion.

Joanne worked as a beautician for a short time before becoming a clerk with B&O Railroad and then for CSX. She enjoyed her peaceful life on the farm, crafting, reading, and crocheting. Most of all Joanne cherished time with her family and as the matriarch she made sure to keep track of everyone.

Survivors include her sons, Bruce (Melanie) Fowler, of Anderson, SC, and Mark (Margie) Fowler, of Vermilion; 4 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Joanne was preceded in death by her Husband, Eugene R. "Bud" Fowler in 2001, and 5 siblings.

Family and friends will gather for a Memorial Service on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main St, Greenwich, burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Willard. Expressions of sympathy may be shared online at www.eastmanfuneralhome.com
