JoAnne Tisler, 60, of Coshocton passed away Tuesday December 30, 2014 at the Hospice Morrison House in Zanesville. She was born July 31, 1954 in Cleveland.
JoAnne worked as a custodian for Coshocton City Schools, volunteered with the EMT, Army-Navy Lady Auxiliary, Boy Scouts, and the Pomerene Art Center. She was a member of the Coshocton Army-Navy, Moose Lodge, Eagles, Garden Club, and OSTA.
JoAnne is survived by her children Johanna Strojin, Jessica Tisler, and Peter Tisler; mother Ann (nee Scerbik) Churpek; grandchildren Krystina Strojin and Sean Treadway; great-grandchildren Elizabeth-Ann and Rose Ann Hardy; brother Anthony J. (Janice) Strojin; significant other Jerry Kohman; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Anthony J. Strojin and step-father Richard T. Churpek.
Friends may call on Sunday, January 4, 2014 from 3 PM until 6 PM at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main Street, Wellington, and on Monday, January 5 at Saint Patrick's Catholic Church, 512 North Main Street, Wellington, from 10 AM until the 11 AM funeral service.
