Joe Mullins, age 77, of Norwalk, died Monday, January 7, 2008 at Gaymont Nursing Center in Norwalk, after a 3 month illness. Mr. Mullins was born July 2, 1930 in Harold, Kentucky, son of the late, Tom & Della (Stuart) Mullins. He moved to New London, Ohio in 1955, where he lived for 20 years. He had resided in Norwalk for over 30 years. He had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and had worked for Brooker Bros. in Norwalk. Joe is survived by his wife of 57 years, Juanita (Miller) Mullins; a daughter, Melissa Dague of Norwalk; 4 sons, Randal Mullins of Jacksonville, FL, Rick Mullins, Greg & Bev Mullins, and Mark & Claudia Mullins all of Norwalk; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and a brother, Richard Carroll of New London. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Hazel Case and Rebal Dagon; and 4 brothers, Hayes Mullins, Gomer Mullins, Reeves Carroll and Bob Carroll. The family will receive friends from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2008 at the Bennett Pointe Club House, 11 Bennett Lane, Norwalk, Ohio (behind new theatre). Memorials donations if desired may be made to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Lane, Sandusky, Ohio 44870 for the loving care & direction they supplied to Joe & his family through their time of need.
