Joella 'Jodi' Boos, 57, of New London, died Sunday, August 16, 2009 following a lengthy illness. Joella was born December 3, 1951 in Elyria to the late Charles and Ella Mae (nee Ravenscroft) Cluley. Joella worked in Environmental Services at Fisher-Titus Medical Center for 9 years.
She loved her grandchildren and her children, who were her life and what made her fight until the end. She always thought of others, never of herself. Even in the worst of times she would always say, 'I am okay.' Joella also loved her Fisher-Titus Medical Center family. They all knew how to make her laugh and their friendships meant a lot to her.
Suvivors include her son, Cory Marcum of Wellington; daughter, Michelle (Tim) Knowlton of Greenwich, Laura (Scott) Lay of New London; 6 grandchildren, T.J. Knowlton, Tyler Knowlton, Colton Lay, Hunter Marcum, Cassidy Lay and Hayley Marcum. Joella is also survived by her best friend and companion, Kyle Boos and her siblings, Charles (Jackie) Cluley, Gregory (Rita) Cluley, Kathy Crigger and Dennis Cluley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Marcum.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were entrusted to Eastman Funeral Home, New London.
