Obituary

John Arthur Bartish, 65, of Elyria, died Sunday, October 22, 2017. Born on May 11, 1952, he was the son of the late Ernest and Norma (nee Bauer) Bartish. John attended Wellington High School and worked on the family dairy farm for many years. For the past 10 years John worked for Plass Brothers as a mechanic, a job which he was extremely talented at. He had the ability to fix nearly anything that was put in front of him. John will be remembered as caring husband, brother, and uncle. he enjoyed playing pool and In recent years, he had enjoyed learning to use the computer. John was an excellent cook and he liked to entertain, making delicious meals. His vibrant personality will be missed as will his sense of humor. John was like a big brother to many, he could pick on you but he always had your back. Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Marsha (nee Adams), step-daughter Stella Adams; siblings Norma Noble, Sue Gott, Ernest, Joe, Michael, and James Bartish, Mary Honeycutt, David, Charles and Tom Bartish. He was preceded in death by his siblings Constance and Geoff Bartish Friends and family will be received on Friday, October 27, 2017, from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main St, Wellington, 44090.
